Art Research Lab receives Liepaja City Annual Award in Sciences 2013

On Thursday, January 10th Liepaja City mayor Uldis Sesks and vice-mayor Silva Golde will present the Annual Award in Sciences to professor Dr.phys Jevgenijs Kaupužs, professor Dr.habil.philol. Benedikts Kalnacs, Mg.philol. Vēsma Lēvalde and Liepaja University Art Research Lab.

To promote the development of science and research as well as the implementation of new innovative ideas, Liepaja City Council present Annual Award in Sciences. One of the awards this year goes to Liepaja University Art Research Lab (Asoc.prof. Rasa Smite, Mg.art. Raitis Smits, Mg. Voldemars Johansons, Mg.art. Anna Trapenciere) for doing new media art research and promoting it in Latvia and abroad.

Applicants to the Annual Award in Sciences were evaluated by a vice mayor Silva Golde led expert commission of Liepaja City Council and Liepaja University.
