In its 15th anniversary, RIXC is changing the title and the course of its annual festival: from the 90s network culture and “art+communication” ideas the festival now is making a shift towards broader art and science fields.
The annual RIXC festival performance program will take place at October 8, 9pm in Spīķeri concert hall, this year focusing on searching connections between electronic and acoustic music, academical traditions and multi-medial practice. The performance programme will feature well-known icelandic cello player Hildur Guðnadóttir and Latvian musician Ēriks Kiršfelds. Program will also include Bjørnar Habbestad (NO), Elen Røed (NO), Le Révélateur (CA), Bas van Koolwijk (NL), Platons Buravickis (LV). Curated by Lev Manovich, Rasa Smite and Raitis Smits.
