The latest event in the framework of the Northern Dimension Partnership project “OPEN NORTH” was the NDP meeting in Helsinki on November 24 – 25, when representatives of RIXC visited Aalto FabLab and MUU gallery in Helsinki in order to exchange experiences and practices and discuss collaboration plans for the near future.
One of the ideas is to organize an exchange of media art exhibitions (between RIXC and MUU Gallery) in Riga and Helsinki in 2014-2015. The exhibition of Latvian artists in Helsinki might take place at the MUU’s new exhibition space MUU Cable, which has been opened on the 29th of November along with the exhibition “New MUU” which showcases the new members of Artists’ Association MUU. Exhibition of the Finnish artists might take place at RIXC Media Space in Riga.
Another idea that has been discussed is a 3D printing workshop followed by an exhibition organized by RIXC in cooperation with Aalto Fablab that could take place in autumnt 2014 at Spikeri creative quarter in Riga. The initiative would also involve the study visit of Finnish colleagues in Riga.
